Structural and optical characterizations of synthesized CMC/PVP-SnO2 nano composites

In this work, using tin chloride and citric acid in an aqueous solution as starting material, a sol-gel method to synthesis SnO2 nanoparticles, so that nanoparticles can be synthesized without complicated equipment or toxic expensive solvents. The structural optical characterizations of CMC/PVP doped films were investigated. polymeric blend with different ratios (0, 2%, 4%, 6%) solvent casting technique thickness 25±1 µm. obtained results demonstrated the transmittance (%) recorded at wavelength range 190-1100 nm, increasing doping content led lowered percentage for all samples parameters prepared affected by ratio showed indirect allowed interband transitions. band gap value decreased from 4.32 Ev 3.92 eV increases.
